FBHS Foundation surprises every FBHS teacher and staff member with back-to-school classroom cash

Posted

As Fernandina Beach High School prepares to welcome students back on Aug. 10, the Fernandina Beach High School Foundation gave every FBHS teacher a little extra support to help start the school year.

During the school's Aug. 3 back-to-school staff meeting, Foundation trustees presented $100 checks to each of the high school’s 67 teachers and $50 checks to each of the 20 noninstructional staff members. The gifts are intended to help faculty and staff purchase the additional classroom supplies or materials they might need before students arrive.

In total, the Foundation distributed $7,700 directly to the educators and staff who help make FBHS a great place for students every day.

The presentation was a surprise for many recipients and reflects the Foundation's ongoing commitment to supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience for every FBHS student.

Additionally, the FBHS Foundation is gearing up for its annual Trivia Night, to be held earlier in the school year this year on Friday, September 11. Please encourage your audience to get their trivia teams ready and help us fuel The Pirate Advantage by signing up for this fun event that supports the FBHS Foundation.
