Because of THIS incredible community, lives are about to change forever.
During the Walk for Water last Saturday, participants walked approximately 1.5 miles from Central Park to a midway point at the beach with an empty bucket. There, they filled their bucket with water and carried it another 1.5 miles to the end of the Walk.
When you walk, you raise funds and awareness to change the daily reality of women and children who lack access to safe water.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who showed up, laced up, and walked with us for the Walk for Water Amelia Island benefiting @watermission!
Here is what your support directly achieves: Engineers clean water systems for developing nations, disaster zones, and refugee camps worldwide. Frees women and children from the daily 3+ mile walk to collect unsafe water.
Restores health and education so kids can stay in school and communities can thrive. Every dollar raised means clean water and hope.
The walk symbolizes the average most people have to walk daily to get water- even dirty water. We raised money towards filtration units with @watermission. Thank you Amelia Island for walking so others don’t have to!
