Dylan Bailey came to us with an encyclopedic knowledge of food and restaurants, and all we had to do was help him let his easy-going personality come through. He quickly became the go-to guy for anyone wanting a new dining adventure. And unlike some food reviewers we know, he didn’t think it had to be fancy to be good. His range ran from high-end dining to food trucks.
You might have noticed the use of past tense in this last paragraph. Dylan has taken on a busy job with Story & Song, the 14th Street bookstore that is quickly becoming a major Fernandina Beach cultural center. He’s just the kind of multi-talented fellow they needed to help manage that growth.
But who is going to help the Fernandina Observer keep on keeping up with the growing world of dining in Nassau County? We hope that somebody is reading this item. We know you are out there. We just need to find each other.
The workload is one story a week, and the pay is $1,000 a month. We cover expenses, too, within reason.
And how do we find each other? A good start is for you to give me a call at 859-486-3936. Leave a voicemail with your name and contact information if I don’t pick up right away.

This is sad - Dylan was a great food review guy. I looked forward to his articles filled with great local venues with a side of humor.
Will be missed.
