FERNANDINA BEACH — Nominations are officially open for Barnabas Center’s 6th annual Hometown Heroes Fashion Show. This year’s event honors veterans and active-duty military members for their continued service in Nassau County beyond their time in uniform.
Community members are invited to submit an online form and share what makes their nominee a standout in the community for recognition as well as provide an example of how the person has positively impacted our community through service, leadership, volunteerism, mentorship or advocacy. These are coworkers, friends and neighbors who give their time to improve the lives of those around them, making them everyday heroes.
Selected nominees will walk the runway at host sponsor Mocama Beer Company on Feb. 22, 2027. In addition to the fashion show, attendees will enjoy the atmosphere, appetizers and a specially curated silent auction — all to support Barnabas Center’s vital health services, empowerment programs and nutrition services.
"Our goal is to give back to those who have given so much for our freedom," said Barnabas Center President and CEO Jamie Reynolds. "This fashion show is more than just clothing; it is about visibility, gratitude, and community."
