Art can be appreciated or controversial, and nearly always elicits opinion. Art is broader than its visual, physical, or decorative forms, and often challenges, builds awareness, or helps understand the world. How does art affect the Nassau community and the people within it?
“Art & Community,” the next community discussion topic in Story & Song’s Let’s Listen: Healing the Great Divides series, takes place Sept. 27, 3-5 p.m.
Featured panelists are Kaveri Subrahmanyam, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of North Florida, and Becky Grimes, Chair of the Nassau Council of Arts and Culture. Maureen Kingsley Paschke moderates the session.
The "Let’s Listen" series is designed to encourage conversation, opinions, and listening to a range of viewpoints on topics pertinent to life in Nassau County.
Attendance is complimentary; however, registration is requested at Story & Song. Story & Song is located at 1430 Park Ave., Fernandina Beach. Entry and free parking are located behind the building.
“Let’s Listen: Healing the Great Divides” is a 10-month discussion series in 2026 sponsored by the Theodore and Pauline Cohen Trust, with support from Jeffrey and Shelley Hirshberg.
