ACT summer camp shows great entertainment for the entire family

Summer means summer theatre camp shows at Amelia Community Theatre!

Finding Nemo

On July 19, campers ages 7-11 will perform the Kids version of Disney’s musical  “Finding Nemo,” the beloved story of the little clownfish who ventures in the big ocean on his own.

Performances are at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on July 19 at 207 Cedar Street. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Amelia Community Theatre or by calling 904-261-6749.

The One-Act Play Disaster

The final ACT camp show is “The One-Act Play Disaster.”  This play features actors ages 12-18 and is a fast, funny, and slightly chaotic backstage comedy where the real drama is off the stage.

Performances are at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on July 26 at 207 Cedar Street.   Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Amelia Community Theatre or by calling 904-261-6749.

Seventy-five young people are enrolled in ACT’s summer camps, which is part of the ACTed educational program of the theatre.   Besides being cast and rehearsing a show, the campers learn about set building, costumes, and props, and learn their lines in record time.

Call the ACT Box Office at 904-261-6749 for tickets and information, or visit the theatre website.  The box office is open from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday  and opens 90 minutes before curtain on show dates.
