Once again, Les DeMerle is offering his popular Drums Are Fun Summer Camp. The camp is a great way to introduce all musicians to rhythm and the basics of drumming. The 3-day camp will be held June 9, 10 and 11 at the Arts Alive Nassau building in Yulee. Hours of camp are 10 a.m. to noon.
De Merle, a world-renowned drummer, clinician, bandleader, and founder and artistic director of the Amelia Island Jazz Festival, has toured and recorded with the Harry James Big Band from 1970 to 1982. In addition, DeMerle toured and recorded with Wayne Newton, and also toured and recorded with the Manhattan Transfer.
Advance registration required.

This is inspirational! Bet many of these young people go on to be musicians, great drummers/percussion players, and have a wonderful time now and in the future because of this. Yay!
