The Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, founded in 2001, is dedicated to bringing the world’s finest classical musicians to Amelia Island, Florida. The festival features performances in various intimate settings, creating an up-close and personal experience for audiences.
The Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival welcomes world-class pianist Jeremy Denk Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025 at 5 p.m. the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. This concert is sure to be a highlight of the festival, featuring one of today’s most respected and versatile pianists in a stunning setting.
Denk’s program will include a rich mix of works that span centuries and styles, showcasing his ability to bring out the unique voice of each composer. The performance will feature Clara Schumann's Romance No. 1, Johannes Brahms’ 4 Klavierstücke Op. 119, Missy Mazzoli's Heartbreaker, and pieces by composers like Amy Beach, Ruth Crawford Seeger, and Robert Schumann, among others.
With this diverse and dynamic lineup, Denk will demonstrate his remarkable range, from the intimate beauty of romantic works to the bold innovation of contemporary compositions.
The concert will take place at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, a venue known for its elegance and breathtaking oceanfront views. Before or after the performance, concertgoers can enjoy a prix fixe menu at the hotel’s Coast restaurant or unwind at the bar and explore other dining options at this luxurious venue – making it the perfect way to enhance an unforgettable evening.
The festival continues to interact with the community. Denk will teach a free, public master class to three pianist students at Jacksonville University. These master classes are free and open to the public. Patrons can experience these personalized lessons given to highly talented students.
